The idea of freelancing can be exciting....and a little bit terrifying, right?

Does the below sound familiar?

  • You want to figure out exactly why, when and how to ditch the 9 to 5.

  • You want a career that works around your family and lifestyle, not the other way round

  • You want to earn more money, doing what YOU love

I hear you. And I know what it's like. You desperately want to pursue your passion and go it alone, but the whole process can seem overwhelming and scary.

But here's the thing - you're not alone. You're in the right place.

I'm here to take you through those first 30 days and beyond

In this course, I've collected together all the resources, knowledge, tips and tools you'll need to get started. Which means you can spend less time Googling, and more time Getting Clients!

I'll walk you through all the steps, from planning out your business and knowing how to handle registering your business and your finances, to nailing your offer and finding clients. Each task is easily achieved in an hour or less (in fact, most of them are less than 30 minutes).

Plus there's a private Facebook group to support you with any questions you might have.

In one month, you'll be ready to resign

In 30 days, you'll have a business plan, all the steps you need to take to go freelance, plus a clear idea of your niche, your offers, your marketing plan and where to start!

What do you get?

You'll get a self-paced course, which is primarily text-based (to make it as accessible as possible), plus an audio feed and a digital workbook.

What's in the course?

To make it easy to go through, I've broken it down into four weeks, with a theme for each one.

  • Week 1: Planning and setting up. Working out the big questions - what, when, how, why and who.

  • Week 2: Admin and money. The bits that often make people nervous! Accounts, registering, setting your rates, chasing payments and invoicing.

  • Week 3: Finding Clients. I'll walk you through the four areas I focus on to find clients in a way that's intuitive, not icky! There's even a Notion board and Trello board to track things.

  • Week 4: Protecting your Freelance Business. All of the foundations that will help you have a long and secure freelance career, from boundary setting and terms and conditions to pensions and insurance.

Oh, and you'll also get access to The Freelance Lifestyle School Facebook group exclusive for students of my courses, which is full of lovely, supportive and welcoming freelancers who have taken the steps you're about to take. Think of it like a little cheering squad!

The UK-based freelance course full of bite-sized lessons with the fun baked in.

Being a freelancer with ADHD, I wanted to create a course that was short and actionable to take the fear out of the scary stuff, but fun and interesting to get that dopamine going and keep you focused throughout the course.

About me

Hello! I'm Emma Cossey, a coach and mentor for freelancers. I started the Freelance Lifestyle to make freelancing more accessible and simple. And as I have ADHD, I've also sprinkled lots of fun in there to keep you focused!
